5 Reasons People Fail at Wellness by Dr Peter Minke

For those who missed Dr Minke’s two hour wellness talk last Friday, not to worry, I’ve got nooootes!! My friend Leslie has taken some pictures of the slides which I have included. So this is all written in point form.

A little introduction, Dr Minke is a researcher / scientist survived bone cancer when he was 20 years old which prompted him to research a lifestyle on clean and healthy living which in the end brought him to knowing and using Young Living and it’s range of products.

Here are the 5 Reasons:
  1. They don’t stop the poison
  2. They experience a cleansing reaction and stop
  3. They get distracted
  4. They are not sure about the next step
  5. They hit an emotional block or habit
#1 They Don’t Stop the Poison
  • US Water supply is filled with pharmaceutical waste
  • They only take out what they test for
  • They recently did a test for birth control pill waste in the water and found traces of birth control in the water which they do not treat the water for because they have never tested for it in the water.
  • Say NO to recreation fragrancing
    • It effects the ‘old-factory’ makeup in the brain
    • Hormone Disruptors / Phthalates found in synthetic fragrances
      • Use natural products and don’t worry about finishing your toxic products. Just chuck it.
    • Change your toothpaste, there is no fluoride in YL toothpaste
      • There is also no SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate) which is a mild neurotoxin
    • Start using Thieves hand soap instead of the regular anti-bacterial ones or make your own
#2 They experience cleansing reactions and stop
  • Young Living has all the products we need to change our whole wellness lifestyle
    • Water & Oxygen are the two important nutrients for our body
    • Drink 750ml of water first thing in the morning
    • Morning pee has the most toxins in it, so you want to drink more water in the morning to continue flushing the toxins out
    • Vitamin C Supplement from Young Living has Zinc and Cayenne Pepper which helps to flush out toxins
      • Chewable Vitamin C is good for fast absorption from under the tongue
    • Ningxia Red
      • High anti-oxidant
      • Oxidative stress happens in the body when you expose yourself to toxins

      • Damaged membrane creates unhealthy cells, your thyroid cannot deliver hormone into the body
      • You therefore need fat and water soluble anti-oxidants

        • Wolf-berry (in Ningxia Red) is Water Soluble (2oz daily is minimum)
          • Ningxia Red stimulates the thyroid
          • Try Dr Minke’s formula in your used Ningxia red glass bottle. Mix 1oz of Ningxia Red + 4-6 Sulfurzyme capsules (pour out from capsules) + top up with water + x3 Drops of Lime EO
        • Otherwise it is recommended to take Sulfurzyme x4 capsules/day for basic maintenance and within the body
        • Golden Touch Kit has Juva Flex blend essential oil this is a very good EO for fat soluble detoxification massage
        • Alkalime essential oil is also a great oil for detoxing
        • Purchase some PH test strips and test yourself regularly with your saliva or urine
        • Keep your lymph moving with self-massages (see video below)
        • Some of the common reactions you see when your body is going through a detoxification process are:
          1. Headache
          2. Skin Rashes (try lymph massage technique,  patchouli & epsom salt bath, or detoxing clay over skin)
          3. Bowel movements
        • When you start feeling some of these detoxing symptoms it is recommended to reduce the amount of essential oils you’re using to let the body regulate gradually but still keep to your nutrition.

#3 Distraction
  • When you find yourself getting distracted from your wellness rituals, just always keep in mind this 3-Part Wellness Strategy:
    1. Stop the poison
    2. Flood the body with nutrients
    3. Manage stress
  • This will help you to focus outwardly and can be used to manage any specific areas of discomfort in the body or issues
  • Some oils to help you with focus and getting you back on track:
    • Vetiver, Cedarwood, Lavender or using Tranquil Roll-on
    • If you are using oils on infants, place it along the spine as they will not be able to reach it and accidentally touch and rub their eyes.
    • Pay attention to your body. If there is something that your body does not need for any reason. i.e. genetically, disorders, your body will show it. (i.e. you might not like the smell)
    • Chemo. Protection – use Rosemary essential oil

#5 Hit emotional Block
  • When Dr Minke went through chemotherapy, his liver got damaged by this procedure. It reduced him to suffer from depression
  • Present time is good to bring us in the moment and relieve stress
